Alternative Medicine and Pain Management
Research continues to reveal new ways to understand and treat pain and discomfort in pets. In surgical cases, pre and post-operative medications are given to minimize any discomfort your pet may have. We also use a state of the art Therapeutic laser to decrease any discomfort as well as speed up recovery time. Medications are also available to return home with the patient to further decrease any discomfort. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. Our clinic embraces the holistic approach to pet health and wellness. We offer nontraditional forms of therapy for those who wish. Therapeutic laser, acupuncture and chiropractic therapies are available.
Dental Care
Regular professional pet dental cleaning is important to maintaining your pet’s health. Complete dental cleaning requires anesthesia with the same safety precautions taken as with general surgery. We use modern and safe ultrasonic tools to clean each tooth thoroughly – above and below the gum line. Our licensed technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity.
Diagnostic Tests
When your friend is sick or injured, you want answers as fast as possible. Our skilled veterinarians use our in-house blood analyzers, high-quality digital radiography (x-ray images), and mobile ultrasound to quickly and accurately determine the possible causes for your pet’s ailment. You’ll have the results in minutes!
Surgical Facility
Pets undergo pre-operative exams and pre-surgical blood testing before surgical procedures. Our licensed veterinary technicians monitor each individual patient from the beginning of the procedure until they awaken. During surgery, the surgical team monitors the patients’ health with EKG, heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and blood oxygen levels.
For all of our surgeries, we utilize CO2 lasers as a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. They replace the scalpel in surgical procedures by using a highly focused beam of light to cut, this results in less pain, less bleeding and less swelling, as well as reduced risk of infection, while decreasing post-operative discomfort.
Exotic and Pocket Pets
At Pawsitive Pet Care, we understand that pets can come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and species. Dogs and cats may be the most popular pets to care for, but not everyone makes that choice. There are many people who prefer the companionship of pets that are more exotic, such as birds, rabbits, and lizards.
It can be difficult to find the proper veterinary care for your non-traditional pet. Each exotic pet species has its own, very different anatomy and physiology. Not every veterinarian that you encounter will have the comprehensive knowledge required to provide your pet with the medical care they require. But our doctors have the skills, training, and experience to address your exotic pet’s needs through every stage of their life.
That’s why we’re proud to have the specialized knowledge and precise skill set to treat exotics and pocket pets with the same high-level quality care that we offer to canines and felines. Whether your companion has feathers, fur, or scales, we can provide them with the high-quality care that they need.
Personalized Wellness Care
At Pawsitive Pet Care, we provide twice yearly comprehensive examinations that help evaluate the overall health of your pet. Regular physical examinations can detect problems in their early stages, before they become serious illnesses requiring prolonged treatment. Preventative medicine is the easiest, least expensive and most important way to keep your pet healthy.
Each individual’s comprehensive exam includes a physical along with vaccinations, nutritional counseling, and preventative blood and fecal testing. Vaccine recommendations are based on each individual and the risk of exposure. Finally, each pet goes home with heartworm, intestinal parasite, and flea preventatives to keep them safe and healthy.

We know saying goodbye to a long-time friend can be painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet’s comfort and dignity in our warmly furnished comfort room. We offer cremation services for clients wishing an alternative to burial.
